Every year so many students are getting admission in private university. Number of private universities are increasing day by day. Bangladeshi private universities are affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC), a commission created according to the Presidential Order (P.O. No 10 of 1973) of the Government of Bangladesh. For higher education private universities in Bangladesh are playing a vital role. For higher education students are becoming interested to get admit as their preferred subject or program.
Why students are getting admit in Private University
In Bangladesh after completing HSC exam students try to get admit in a University for higher education. Public and Private university are conducting higher education program in various subjects. To get admission in public university students give admission test after admission test a limited number of students get chance to public university. Maximum students have a desire to complete his/her graduation in which subject he/she is passionate or they prefer to study. But a few number of students can achieve their aim. A very cursitial moment is taking a proper decision after HSC.
Higher than the demand for higher education in the population of the country, the number of government universities and its seats was not possible due to higher education dreams could not be fulfilled. For this reason, the government decided to approve the approval of private universities. By issuing the Private University Ordinance 1992 At that time the government approved the establishment of the first two private universities. In 2010 a new private university law was passed. More universities were established through the law. Now the private universities in the country are 103 (according to UGC accounts). A few more universities are waiting for approval. The dream of higher education was not possible due to the lack of a number of government universities and its seats compared to the demand for higher education in the country’s population. For this reason, the government decided to approve the approval of private universities.
