Dhaka, Bangladesh — The Central University of Science and Technology (CUST) marked a historic day with two significant milestones: a major step forward in international academic collaboration and its first-ever vibrant Alumni Reunion, bringing together current students, alumni, and faculty in a shared celebration of achievement and community.
Strengthening Global Academic Collaboration through TNE Partnership
The day was highlighted by a high-level visit from the University of Wolverhampton, represented by Dr. Robin Carey, Director of International and UK Partnerships, and Dr. David Atkinson, Director of Educational Partnerships. The delegation visited the CUST campus to further strengthen a Transnational Education (TNE) partnership aimed at enhancing academic quality and global engagement.
A strategic meeting was held with the Honorable Chairman of CUST, Mr. Zahidul Islam, the Vice-Chancellor, and senior university leadership. The discussions focused on advancing industry-relevant, globally aligned education and expanding collaborative academic opportunities.

“Our mission is to provide high-quality, industry-relevant education that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. By integrating industry-standard technologies across all departments, we are ensuring our students are future-ready from the very beginning.”
A Celebration of Community: First Alumni Reunion
In parallel with these academic developments, CUST hosted its inaugural Alumni Reunion, transforming the campus into a lively space of nostalgia, connection, and celebration. A key highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of both current students and alumni, who contributed actively to the organization and festivities.
