Scholarships are offered to undergraduate students at the time of admission based on SSC and HSC academic results.

Note: The waiver applies only to tuition fees and applicable as and when the student will pass regularly with minimum GPA 3.0.
Scholarship Based on Performance
Students may receive scholarships based on their academic performance in the Semester Final Examinations. Eligibility for such scholarships begins after the successful completion of a semester. A maximum of 10% of the students in each semester may be awarded scholarships based on their academic performance.

Tuition Fee Waiver may be offered by CUST on the following conditions
Tuition fee waivers may be granted under the following categories:

| 8 | Need Based Students (Parent Income ≤ Tk 20,000) | 30% |
| 9 | Players and artists at least recognized at district level | 30-50% |
Note: If any student gets waiver from more than one category, he/she will get highest one from any one category.
General Criteria for Scholarship and Financial Waiver
- Students must submit original mark sheet and other relevant documents.
- Students who had a break of study in the immediate past semester will not be eligible for waiver or scholarship.
- Students involved in misconduct or disciplinary action will not be eligible.
- Students with outstanding dues will not be eligible unless permitted by the Vice-Chancellor.
Selection Process
- The Registrar’s Office will invite applications for scholarships and waivers through the prescribed form.
- After verification, eligible applications will be forwarded to the committee within five working days after the application deadline.
- The Registrar’s Office will also submit the result-based scholarship list to the committee.
- The committee will determine the maximum number of waivers and scholarships for each semester.
- After approval by the Vice-Chancellor, the final list will be sent to the and Finance and Accounts Office.
- The decision will be reported to the Finance Committee and subsequently approved by the Board of Trustees through the Syndicate.
- The entire process shall be completed within the first calendar month of each semester.
- Tuition fees already paid by eligible students will be adjusted in subsequent semesters or refunded during final clearance.
