Prof. Dr. Md. Monjur Hossain appointed as 1st VC of CUST

Former Prof. of KUET Dr. Md. Monjur Hossain has been appointed as the first Vice Chancellor of Central University of Science & Technology (CUST).

The appointment was made by the Chancellor of CUST, Honorable President of Bangladesh for the next four years. CUST Registrar (Acting) Dr. Par Mosiur Rahman confirmed the information through a press release.

Prior to the appointment, Prof Monjur finished his career successfully as a Professor of Department of Civil Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). He had served as the Dean of the Faculty, Chairman/ Head of the Department of Civil Engineering of KUET.
He achieved the Bangladesh Education Leadership Awards 2017 as the professor in Civil Engineering, KUET. He is also Asso. Member of American Society of Civil Engineering, Member of Bangladesh Academy of Advancement of Science.
He achieved the Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).
